JEDDAH — Anyone who reports a violation in the labor market through Ma3an Lil Rasd portal (rasd.ma3an.gov.sa) will get a financial reward equal to 10% of the violation fine, spokesman of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development Khlaed Abalkhair said here on Saturday.
He said that reward is in line with the ministry’s regulations to grant a percentage of fine to anyone who reports it in appreciation of his efforts to monitor violations and help labor inspectors in their task.
Citizens and expats can report to the ministry the violations related to visa sale or its brokerage, work in adverse climatic conditions without necessary precautions or in mid-day sun in specific months, registration of Saudis by companies without their knowledge or consent, hiring of non-Saudis on jobs restricted for Saudis, employment of male workers on jobs restricted for Saudi women, mediation in recruiting workers without license from the ministry.
The ministry wants to broaden its electronic services through this website that rely on transparency and accountability with the cooperation of society, dissemination of the culture of monitoring by society members so much so that society becomes a partner in exposing violations in the labor market.
This portal initially allows expats and citizens to report six violations. But this will be increased subsequently.
